Mr. Levitt believes that oral literacy is under-appreciated in its ability to encourage and develop written literacy and for being able to foster confidence and long success in life.

In his workshops on storytelling Marc works in the following areas:

  • Creating and performing one person autobiographic monologues interpreting folkloric stories
  • Creating one person performances based on historical characters
  • Creating one person performances based on oral histories with parents, neighbors, etc.
